Due to the wide accessibility and frequent public screenings of his key works,* we decided to honor him not with a screening but with an opportunity to do the one thing he enjoys almost as much as filmmakingsharing thoughts and telling wonderful stories. In conversation with another trailblazer, filmmaker Justin Lin (BETTER LUCK TOMORROW; THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS: TOKYO DRIFT), Nakasako will reflect on his career, the Festivals history and the state of Asian American cinema, no doubt peppering it all with entertaining anecdotes from his life and work.
