Ferry Building

First built in 1898 as the citys transportation center, this historic structure now houses some of the citys premier restaurants and shops, offering everything from artisan cheeses to the most seasonal produce to the freshest local seafood.

Grab a bite at Taylors Refresher, famous for their ahi burgers, fish tacos and garlic fries; or head over to Market Bar, where you can dine right outside on the sidewalk. Or if you prefer dining with a view of the Bay, Slanted Door offers a uniquely Vietnamese inspired menu that focuses on sustainable and organic ingredients.

On a full stomach, take a stroll through the building and visit some of the specialty stores selling a variety of culinary treats: Scharffen Berger Chocolates, Cowgirl Creamery, Stonehouse California Olive Oil. Ferry Plaza Wine Merchant will impress you with their vast selection of wines from around the world. End your trip with a one last visit to Ciao Bella Gelato!
